Company History

Green Bay Title Company, Inc. is the oldest locally owned title company in Green Bay, and Marinette.

The origins of the Green Bay office date back to 1935, when Florence K. Cornelisen, a local Attorney, organized the company under the name Green Bay Abstract Company, Inc.

Attorney Cornelisen owned and operated the company until 1952, at which time, a long time employee, William Collins and his son, John Collins purchased the Company. In 1982, Gerard R. Faller, who had been employed at Chicago Title Insurance Company in Milwaukee, relocated to Green Bay, and purchased the Company.

The Marinette office was organized in 1884, having been previously owned and operated by 3 generations of Mr. Faller’s family: L.J. Evans (Great Grandfather), Emily Evans Faller (Grandmother), George R. Faller (Father), and Thomas G. Faller (Brother). In 2002, Gerard R. Faller purchased Marinette County Title, thereby expanding the Company to include the Marinette branch office.
